To visit Yamunotri by road you can travel through a bus or taxi that is been run from various states of Uttarakhand. You can also travel through the GMOU bus and taxi of the Uttarakhand Roadways that start from Rishikesh. Visit Yamunotri by Air
You can visit Yamunotri by air i.e by a helicopter. If you want to travel via helicopter then you may travel till Dehradun. From Dehradun you will have to travel till the Sahastradhara Helipad. From Sahastradhara helipad head towards Harsil and then you will be escorted till Yamunotri through a Palki.

- The Darshan timing at the Yamunotri temple is from 06:30 am to 07:30 pm, so plan your visit accordingly.
- Avoid visiting Yamunotri during the monsoon season. May, June, Sep & Oct are the best months to travel at Yamunotri.
- The Yamunotri Dham is located at a very high altitude in the Himalayas therefore having heavy winter clothes during the winter minth is advisory. Summers are pleasant, avoid travelling during the monsoon.
