Unseasonal rain is hindering the preparation for Char Dham Yatra in Uttarkhand staring from 24 April this year. PWD-BRO are severely affected department facing problems in maintainence and metalling of roads. Government has given them time limit till 15 April to mplete the maintainence work of roads.
For the past three days the work on roads have been stopped due to rain and snowfall. Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri highways are much more affected.
PWD Secretary Amit Negi said that to speed up the road maintainence, all Chief Engineers will do the field duties after 2nd April.
