The traffic has been restored on the Badrinath Highway which was inaccessible for past two days due to the huge boulders that blocked the road at Gulaabakoti. After the opening of the road, tourists and vehicles stranded at Badrinath, Joshimath, Pandukeshwar, Govindghat, Peepalkoti and Chamoli have started to move. BRO and its team worked day and night to restore the road.

In addition to opening of the Badrinath highway, BRO also successfully mobilized the traffic stuck on Gangotri highway after heavy boulders blocked the road near Helgugaad on July 18. However BRO’s swift and diligent restoration work managed to open the road for vehicles by Thursday afternoon.
