36 CCTV Cameras will be installed on Badrinath & Hemkund Yatra Route
For the first time, 06 CCTV cameras will be installed at Govindghat, the entrance gate of Hemkund Sahib and 02 CCTV cameras at Ghanghariya. With the establishment of the police station in Badrinath, the police administration has also prepared a blueprint for safe pilgrimage. The police department decided to install 16 cameras at Badrinath Dham’s Sabha Mandap and in the Temple premises. 09 CCTV cameras will be installed from Badrinath’s Astha Path to the bus stand. 02 CCTV cameras will be installed in both Hanuman Chatti and Pandukeshwar. Police Superintendent Yashwant Singh Chauhan said that with a safe, smooth journey, the suspects will be closely monitored through these cameras. Police personnel will also be deployed in Temple premises.
Police Force will be posted on the 36 Danger Zones on Badrinath Highway
On the Badrinath highway, 36 danger zones have been identified by the Chamoli Police Administration. A JCB will be deployed from the NH along with the police personnel on each Danger Zone. On behalf of the police administration, NH officials have been instructed to install Crash Barrier and Steel Guards on the Danger Zone. 36 danger zones have also been identified along with Laambagad, Hathi Pahad, Taiyya Bridge, Pinola, Pagal Naala, Patal Ganga, Chamoli Chada, Birahi, Pursari, Bajpur, Sonla, Deolibagad on the highway. Police Superintendent Yashwant Singh Chauhan said that the Helpline number written sign boards will be set up at the sensitive points of the highway.
