The doors of Kedarnath will open on 17 May at 5 am. However the Chardham Yatra has been postponed this year due to Corona infection. On Thursday, the team left for Kedarnath at 8.30 am from the Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath. Additional chief executive BD Singh, who is heading the board, said that following the Corona rules, the team will make preparations for the inauguration at Kedarnath Dham.
After the opening of Kedarnath on 17 May, there will be regular worship in the Kedarnath Temple. The Chardham Yatra will be started in a phased manner if the conditions are normal. Here, Ravinath Raman, Chief Executive Officer of Garhwal Commissioner / Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board, said that the doors of the Chardham Temples are to be opened in a symbolic way.
Following the Corona protocol, only the fixed representatives, Rawals, priests and the rightful holders will be able to go to Kedarnath Dham. Here, the 12-member team that reached Kedarnath includes Assistant Engineer Girish Deoli, Store Incharge Umesh Shukla, Junior Engineer Vipin Kumar and electrician Plumber and seven volunteers.
