Environmental changes in seven decades of the Himalayan region of Gangotri Glacier including Badrinath, Tibetan Plateau and in Afghanistan can be clearly seen in the photographs taken by Swami Sunderanand. These photos will be displayed in the five-storey photo gallery prepared in Gangotri Dham. Swami Sunderanand is preparing to call the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Gangotri in September for the inauguration of the Art Gallery.
Tapovan Swami’s disciple Swami Sunderanand (93), who has been living here for 70 years since coming to Gangotri from Andhra Pradesh, has collected more than two lakh photographs. Swami Sunderanand has prepared a five-storey photo gallery in Gangotri Dham to give a glimpse of these photos to the peoples. In order to preserve this photo gallery in the future; Swami Sundarananda is willing to hand it over to the army.
