After the disaster in Kedarnath in the year 2013, the state government had made available the biometric registration facility for all the pilgrims coming on the yatra. Later this service was made photometric. Such a facility was not available during the Corona period.
For the preparation of Chardham Yatra this year, on February 28, in Rishikesh, Commissioner Garhwal Division Sushil Kumar called a meeting of all the key officers and gave necessary directions. In which registration of every devotees coming on Chardham Yatra was made mandatory. Till now the work of pilgrims registration was done by Trilok Security System. This year this work has been given to Ethics Infotech.
Now all Chardham services hi-tech
According to the old system, the pilgrims was made to stand in front of the camera through the registration center or mobile van and his information was entered in the computer system and in return he was given a registration card. Now all these services have been made hi-tech. Now for this, kiosk machines have been made available on the lines of ATMs.
The devotees who have smartphone or online registration facility are not required to come to the registration centre. They can register themselves sitting at home. The facility will be available through mobile app and website for this. In this, the devotee will also provide his mail id.
The registration with QR code facility will be available on the mobiles of the devotees who have registered through online. Devotees who do not have smartphone or online facility will have to register themselves by visiting the devotees registration center. Support personnel will be deployed in these centers by Ethics Infotech. These employees will help the passengers who cannot enter their details in the machine themselves.
Chardham Offline registration will be like this
Wherever registration centers are being opened on the Chardham Yatra route including Haridwar Rishikesh, the facility of swap machine handle device will be available. In this, the information of devotees will be recorded through touch machine. These machines will work on the lines of ATMs in banks.
Hand bands will be provided by Ethics Infotech to such devotees coming to the registration center. In which the QR code giving complete information of the pilgrims will be available. Through this QR code, it will be easy to verify the pilgrims at the Char Dhams. Scanner machines will also be available for verification at CharDhams.
