Pilgrims looking to visit Kedarnath by flights now take Helicopters service from 24 April. Heli companies from Delhi and Mumbai are preparing to move to Kedarnath shortly.
With the opening of Kedarnath Yatra, the helicopter service will start simultaneously. Jakhdhar, Masta, Narayankoti, Phata, Maikhanda, Sereshi etc are the helipads from where helicopter service will be available to the holy shrine.
More than 12 companies will give their helicopter service to Kedarnath. Some big names are Prabhatam, Pawanhans, Trans Bharat, Pinnacle, Himalayan Heli, Aryan Aviation, UT Air, Heritage, Sunsea, Kedarkashi, Devbhoomi.
DGCA Inspection on 22 April
A DGCA team will inspect the conditions of helipads and other service and will reach from Delhi to Guptkashi. It will take meeting with Heli companies and also inspect their helipads and helicopters. After the approval of DGCA only then the Heli service will start.
Pawanhans Service will start from 24 April
A subsidiary of Indian Government, Pawanhans Helicopter Company will start its service from 24 April. It also started online booking for Kedarnath Heli Service from Phata to Kedarnath.
