The first Citizen of India, President Pranab Mukherjee visited holy Kedarnath shrine today along with his son Abhijeet Mukherjee. In the presence of Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat and Krishan Kant Paul (Governer of Uttarakhand), Mr. President arrived at Kedarnath at 8.30am by a helicopter from GTC helipad, Dehradun.

The director of Badrinath-Kedarnath committee Ganesh Godiyal along with other bearers welcomed Mr. President in traditional ways. After paying their obeisance at Kedarnath, the president will head to Dehradun and tomorrow, on 29th of September, will take part in the evening Ganga aarti at Haridwar.
