Among the major projects in Chardham, the road connecting Chardham in Uttarakhand is gaining limelight after speculations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit Uttarakhand on December 25 or 27 to lay the foundation stone of Rs 12,000 crore project.

There will be construction of 14 tunnels, which will cover a distance of around 100 km connecting to the Char Dam, the distance by road will reduce to 813 from 389 km.
