In the disaster of June 2013, about 7 km route from Rambada to Kedarnath was completely destroyed. Then, work is going on to revive the old route from Rambada to Garudchatti.
For Kedarnath, Nehru Mountaineering Institute built a new 9 km long path from Rambada on the right side of Mandakini river. For the last 10 years, the pilgrimage has been going on through this path.
