Now 4000 pilgrims can stay at night in Kedarnath. GMVN and SDRF has increased the tents in Kedarnath dham. Chhani camp is being handover to private organisations for pilgrims accommodation.
Over 1,60,000 pilgrims has visited Kedarnath temple in 24 days. For the last 15 days, over 8000 pilgrims are visiting Kedarnath daily. From last week, there is an increase in pilgrims staying at night camps. Apart from base camp, MI26 helipad and other places has 160 camps with 75 tents of police and SDRF.
Other than that, UP Nirman Nigam is constructing 120 cottages. Also the accommodation on the route from Gaurikund via Jungle Chatti, BHimbali and Lincholi has been increased.
