Ministry of Union Road Transport and Highways will establish new 890 Km national highways connecting the four shrines of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Union Minister Gadkari was speaking at the 20th foundation day ceremony of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s Haridwar-based Patanjali Yogpeeth (Trust), when he anounced, “A proposal to connect the four shrines by constructing new national highways is being developed. The network would cover 890 kilometres and the Centre would release Rs. 13,000 crore for the project.”
He also hoped for the completion of the construction of a Delhi-Dehradun 4-lane highway, delayed for several years, before Ardh Kumbh 2016. He also congratulating the Ramdev and his aide Balkrishna for promoting indigenous games like wrestling and kabaddi. He was accompanied by Haryana’s Cheif Minister Khattar who also appreciated the trust and made sevral announcement for its promotion in Haryana.
