During the Chardham yatra, the live update of the weather will be given on the Rishikesh bus stand. A large LED screen will be installed at the bus stand from the meteorological department, from where the pilgrims can know the weather and decide to continue or stop their journey. At the same time, the team of doctors and pharmacists will be deployed at Bus stand for 24 hours. District Disaster Management Officer Deepshikha said that the tour control room has been set up at the Rishikesh bus stand premises. With the live updates of the weather on the large screen, there will be information on landslides and other obstacles on the road. By registering the mobile number of the passengers, the information will also be sent from time to time via update SMS.
Generally, doctors and other staff do not stay on duty during lunch. But, this will not happen in the control room. During the lunch of the doctor and other staff posted here, other staff will take responsibility in their place. So that the pilgrims can get medical help for 24 hours. The staff will be deployed in 3 shifts of 8 hours and doctors will be also available during lunch and dinner.
During Chardham Yatra, the injured and sick pilgrims will be taken from the Air Ambulance to Rishikesh AIIMS. Under this, the air ambulance will leave the patients to the IDPL Helipad and from there they will reach AIIMS by Road. However, patients brought from Mussoorie Road will be brought to Doon Hospital. Garhwal Commissioner has issued instructions for this.
In order to avoid any problems to the pilgrim coming from other states, the help desk will be started in the BTC campus from 01 May. Employees from different departments will be deployed at this desk, which will solve complaints related to their departments. This help center will be open from 06:00 am to 8:00 pm. A meeting was held under the leadership of Deputy District Magistrate Prem Lal in the office of Tourism Department located at Bus Transit Compound on Monday. In the meeting, Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Dr. Anita Chamola said that the list of pilgrims will be checked on each border check post.
