Solo travellers/ pilgrims who are looking for travel only from Kedarnath to Badrinath will have to take Route 2 i.e via Rudraprayag, since regular buses/ taxis are available from Sonprayag to Rudraprayag. One should start travelling from Kedarnath (Sonprayag) to Badrinath at early morning as most of the taxis/ buses left for Rudraprayag till noon.
One can also hire a taxi directly to Badrinath from Sonprayag, but it will be little costly.
Helicopter service from Kedarnath to Badrinath only available if you are on Helicopter Package from Dehradun to Kedarnath-Badrinath. There is no full proof Kedarnath to Badrinath Heli Service.
But one could check at Sirsi/ Phata/ Guptkashi Helipads if there is any seat in Helicopter flying to Badrinath.

Travel distance and travel time would be same as 211 Kms and 7 to 8 Hrs respectively in Bus/ Taxi. One can get Bus either to Sonprayag (Kedarnath) from Badrinath Bus Stand in morning or could take Bus to Rudraprayag/ Joshimath to continue journey. If taking route 2 via Rudraparayag, then one have to start early morning and travel to Rudraparayag anyhow. There are number of Buses/ Taxis available till evening in Chardham Yatra season which would take you to Sonprayag.
The helicopter service from Badrinath to Kedarnath would be same as per above i.e no direct service available other than Helicopter Package from Dehradun/ Delhi to Badrinath – Kadarnath.
