The inttermittent rain prevailing in the state covered the higher reaches of Badrinath and Hemkund with shrouds of snow. Meanwhile, the pedestrian trek started reinstated after seven days halt. The administration saw 561 passengers off to Kedarnath from Gaurikund, while the air service to Kedarnath is also active. However, Badrinath national highway has been opened. On Thursday, more than four hundred passengers arrived Badrinath.
After two days of rain the weather in Kedarnath cleared on Friday. Thursday evening Kedarnath national highway was opened for small vehicles, while Badrinath and Gangotri highway traffic has been entirely smooth. On the other hand, Yamunotri and Hemkund yatra is operating smoothly.
