There are four helipads which will be visited by DGCA teamy for inspection. Those helipads are Kedarnath, Sersi, Phata and Guptkashi. All the heli operators have to fly over 600 mts (2000 ft) altitude. The DGCA team will start inspection from 07 May.
The decision is taken after meeting between DGCA and UCADA, state agency for aviation. A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is shared with helicopter operators and DGCA has given positive indication for Kedarnath heli services.
Earlier DGCA declined the permission to heli charter companies on the ground that they were not following guidelines by NGT and increasing noise pollution.
