The arrival of devotees in the holy Badrinath shrine still continues. On Thursday, IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla arrived Badrinath with his wife Anuradha Shukla and took the blessings of Lord Badrinath. He arrived Dham at 11 am by helicopter.
Approximately 850 pilgrims visited Badrinath Dham by 10 am on Thursday morning. Currently the weather conditions are rough in the dham which has dipped the mercury growing more cold.
5294 devotees visit Badri-Kedar Dham
Before this 5294 pilgrims paid obeisance to Lord Badrinath and Kedarnath on Wednesday. 3309 devotees reached Badrinath dham while 1985 pilgrims did darshan of Baba Kedar. People started to gather early in the morning forming a line in Kedarnath.
The visitors included 1087 men, 88 women and 66 children. Since the opening of portals the number of visitors reached 80,575. A large number of devotees are also visiting Dwitiya Kedar Madmaheshwar and Tritiya Kedar Tungnath.
Gaurikund revives with splendour
Another major point Gaurikund temple also regained its liveliness with the resumption of Kedarnath yatra. The arrival of pilgrims is also giving livelihood to the locals.
Village chief Rakesh Goswami said the bleak of past two years is over now. The visiting pilgrims is also helping the business in gaining speed.
