Told that due to heavy snow on the yatra route, this time devotees above 60 years of age and children are not allowed to travel. Only 2,500 pilgrims will be allowed to visit Hemkund Sahib in a day. During this, Vice President of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Kishore Panwar, Gurdwara Manager Sewa Singh, Brigadier Devendra Singh, in-charge of Deacon,Colonel Sunil Yadav of 418 Engineer Corps etc. were present. On the other hand, among the Jathedars, Devendra Kor’s Jatha from Delhi, Baljinder’s Jatha from Gurdaspur, Punjab, Jagdeep Singh’s Jatha from Plantation, besides employees of Punjab Roadways were present.
Laxman temple doors open with Vedic chanting
The doors of the ancient Lokpal Laxman Temple, located near Hemkund Sahib, have also been opened for summers. Soon after the opening of the doors of Hemkund Sahib on Saturday, the doors of Laxman temple were also opened with rituals and Vedic chanting. Priest Kushal Singh Chauhan duly offered prayers in the temple and offered him Bhog. During this, pilgrims have darshan of Lord Lakshmana.
