Good news for pilgrims going for Char Dham Yatra during this monsoon season. Heli services will continue for pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham for the first time during this rainy season. The tourism department has made better plans for this and has allowed a Heli company to provide Heli services to Kedarnath in monsoon season as well.
The government along with the coordination of disaster management department has made special plans for Kedarnath Yatra in monsoon season this year. The Himalayan company will operate 30-40 shuttles in a day in case the weather is favorable for flying during monsoon. About 200 to 250 pilgrims will be benefitted every day. Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation Dilip Jawalkar said that earlier Heli services to Kedarnath Dham were generally stopped during monsoon by the Heli companies. Instructions have been given to the concerned officers to follow the required standards for Heli service.
The companies will provide their services only after checking the weather. The peak season for Chardham Yatra is over but the tourism department expect good number of pilgrims even during the rainy season. So government has made all the necessary arrangement for the pilgrims this monsoon.
