Transport Department has started preparation for the Chardham Yatra. The issuance of Green cards for vehicles operated on Chardham Yatra has been started through online website.
Transport Department has started making green cards and trip cards online from 03 April for Chardham Yatra 2023. All the commercial vehicles taking pilgrims to Chardham Yatra will have to make Trip card will along with Green card and private vehicles need only Trip card.

During the Chardham yatra, the transport department is going to open the Green Card & Trip Card service online.
All green cards for Chardham Yatra will be made online. The trip card will be made on the basis of the green card for every trip of vehicle. Trip card has to be made from green card for all commercial vehicles.
Light Weight Vehicle – INR 400/- Heavy Weight Vehicle – INR 600/-
Green card will be issued on paying a fee, while the trip card will be free. Any driver who has a Hill license will have to save their data again. The green card will be valid till 30 November.
The Green Card is a card issued by the Transportation Department to commercial vehicle drivers during Chardham Yatra. This card is issued after conducting a check of vehicles on the side of the transport department officials, after checking the documents of driver’s like driving license, vehicle permit, insurance, etc. After issuing this card, a transport officer may asks the driver to show the document on the journey, then the driver does not need to show any other paper. He can only show green cards.
