The doors of Yamunotri Dham were also opened. Doli of Mother Yamuna has reached in Dham. The doors of Yamunotri Dham were opened with the law at 12:15 pm. On the other hand, in the matter of order to determine the number of passengers from the government three days ago regarding Chardham Yatra, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that no number has been fixed for the Yatra. If more number of passengers come, then a decision will be taken after that.
Doli left for Gangotri at 6:30 am on Tuesday and the doors of Gangotri Dham were opened at exactly 11:15 am. Doli of Mother Yamuna left from Kharsali, the winter halt on Tuesday morning and the doors of Yamunotri Dham were opened at 12:15 pm, while the doors of Kedarnath Dham would be opened on May 6. Whereas, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened on May 8.
It is worth noting that the Covid negative test report of the pilgrims coming for the Chardham Yatra is not mandatory. Only online or offline registration has been made mandatory. Till Monday, 4,31,809 pilgrims have registered themselves for the Char Dham Yatra. The maximum number of 1,53,745 devotees have registered for Kedarnath Dham. For Yamunotri, 73,441, Gangotri 75,698 and Badrinath 1,25,347 have registered. 3578 pilgrims have registered for Hemkund Sahib.
A large number of pilgrims have reached Gangotri and Janki Chatti for the commencement of Chardham Yatra. About three thousand passengers have reached Gangotri Dham and about two thousand in Janki Chatti. The temple of Gangotri Dham is decorated in a grand manner with 15 quintals of flowers, while the temple of Yamunotri Dham is decorated with three quintals of flowers. The movement of passengers has also increased at various stops of both the dhams. Most of the walks are at Gangotri Dham, Bhairav Ghati, Harshil, Dharali, Jhala, Jaspur, Netala, Uttarkashi, Barkot, Kharsali, Sayana Chatti, Janki Chatti.
