Gangotri Dham will be opened for Devotees on 03 May 2022
On the holy festival of the first Navratri, a meeting of the officials and Tirtha Purohit of Gangotri Temple Committee was held at the district headquarters. Pandit Suresh Semwal, president of the temple committee, said that on 03 May on Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of the Gangotri temple will be opened for the devotees with rituals.
On this occasion, devotees will be able to see the Nirvan Darshan of mother Ganga. He informed that earlier on May 02 at 11.45 am, Bhogamurthi of Maa Ganga will be flagged off from Mukhba with a doli yatra. Upon reaching Bhaironghati in the evening, the Doli Yatra will rest the night at the ancient Anand Bhairav temple located here. The next day, there will be a opening of Gangotri temple in the auspicious Lagna.
Yamunotri Dham opening date will be 03 May 2022
This time the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri temple are being opened on same dates.
