Senior candidates will be allow for Char Dham pilgrimage tour only after showing Medical Fitness Certificate. Government’s newly launched scheme “Mere Bujurg Mere Teerth” scheme for senior citizens above 65 years. According to the scheme senior citizen have to pay no expense for Char Dham Yatra.
Govt announces a compulsory medical check up for senior citizens for Char Dham tour or any pilgrimage through the scheme. Chief Medical Officers of Uttarakhand has been directed about the Govt order. For Badrinath and Gangotri, senior citizens have to go through heart check up. Along with check up of other body parts bones and eyes will also be done. Only after all the medical check up, senior citizen will be allowed to have pilgrimage tour. Free check up of senior citizen will be provided in medical hospital of the districts.
