Under the leadership of Director and Organizer Nautiyal Organ Welfare Committee, Dr. Vijay Kumar Nautiyal, the 28-member team reached Rishikesh from Dehradun on 27 April. Here assembly speaker Premchand Agarwal flagged the group for Kedarnath. Yoga therapist Madhav Phondni and others were part of team with 10 diabled members in the team.
Dr. Nautiyal said that on the evening of 27th April the party reached Gaurikund and left for Kedarnath at 7:30 in the morning of 28th morning. At around 2:30 pm, all the team members came to Kedarnath. On 29th April, when the opening of the gates of Kedarnath temple, everyone take the darshan of Baba Kedar.
Here the Governor Dr KK Paul, Temple Committee Chairman Ganesh Godiyal, former CM and MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, MLA Manoj Rawat, Chief Executive Officer BD Singh encouraged the team. Dr. Vijay Kumar Nautiyal told that the team completed the journey of Kedarnath from Gaurikund in seven hours.
All the disabled members trek 34 kms with an artificial leg. Among the ten members, Rakesh Lal, Pankaj Singh, Dinesh Bhujan from Chamoli, Lakshmi Prasad, Nandan Singh, Narendra Singh, from Tehri to Surjan Singh, Rajendra Singh from Doon, GB Gurung, Munna Singh from Rudraprayag were present.
