Badrinath will now receive pilgrims on the opening day due to Corona Lockdown. Back in 1920, same thing happened when Cholera disease engulfed the country. This year Badrinath will open on 30 April, but due to complete lockdown, there might be very less pilgrims attend the opening ceremony.
The events organised before the opening of Badrinath Dham will be attended by only some members of the organising committee. No other person will be allowed, this decision is taken by committee itself. Dharmadhikari Bhuwan Uniyal told that in 1920, Cholera disease was spread in the country and Badrinath gates had opened with handful of persons. Now after 100 years same situation has been arised.
