CM Rawat visited Kedarnath and inspected the reconstruction work on his recent visit to Kedarnath. Shrinivas Posti of priest community welcomed the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister said it looks like Kedarnath Dham is converted into Kedarpuri with the glittering snow adding on to the beauty of Baba Bhole which is offering a marvellous and eye captivating scenery.
Laddoos made up of Cholai will be distrubuted as the prasad in Kedarnath Dham this year, he added.
Shopkeepers would be granted subsidy as aid for above said purpose as decision has been taken in this regard. Chief Minister hoped all the tourist from all over the world would pay spiritual visit of Lord Shiva. Two Shops for the exhibition of organic products would be allotted in Kedarnath and Guptkashi.
A committee has been constituted in the presidency of MLA and Parliament Secretray Shilarani Rawat which will invite all the MLAs and other VIPs to visit the Kedarnath. And another committee constituted in the Presidency of MLA Shailarani Rawat will distribute the compensation to the needy people viz., owners of horse, mule and dola palki who have been deprived of getting the compensation.
Rs 2-2 Lakhs as a compensation would be granted to the such old aged people who are alone as a result of death of their family member in disaster. Ghats would be developed on the sides of Mandakini and Saraswati Rivers.
Chief Minister said government is trying to make the arrangements for lodging of at least 3000 tourists per day. Hundred local youths would be trained with the cooperation of NIM to deal with the calamity, he added.
Subsidy would be granted so tourists can be transported from Chardham by KMVN and Kumaun region by GMVN respectively. Chief Minister said a working plan is being drafted so that students may also join the Chardham Yatra. Chief Minister distributed the cheques of Rs 8 crore 68 Lakhs to the 48 suffered family of the acquisitive building.
