New SOP for proposed Chardham Yatra
In view of the government’s decision to open the Chardham Yatra for the local residents of three districts Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi from July 1, the government has prepared a draft of its Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). On Saturday, its exercise continued throughout the day. At around 10.30 pm, Chief Secretary Omprakash said that the SOP will be issued on Sunday.
The government has decided to allow the residents living in the border of Chardham districts Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi to have darshan in the dhams with negative reports of corona investigation. Along with this, Chardham Yatra is proposed to be opened for other districts of the state from July 11.
