Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, online as well as offline registrations will be done for Chardham Yatra from the first week of September till the doors are closed. He also assured to minimize the arrangements for barricading and checking during Chardham Yatra.
There will be facility of on-spot registration for Chardham Yatra and registration will also be done at all possible places. Chardham Yatra will resume from September first week, as monsoon rains would be stop.
All arrangements are being finalized for the third phase of Kedarnath Yatra. CM told that along with registration in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Chardham, there will be an option to register at other possible places during the Yatra.
The restriction of numbers in pilgrims has been completely abolished. As soon as this year’s Chardham Yatra is completed, preparations for the year 2025 will be started.
No second temple will be built in the country in the name of Kedarnath
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated that no other temple will be built anywhere in the country in the name of Kedarnath or any of the four Dhams. The state cabinet has taken a decision in this regard.
The Chief Minister was virtually addressing the public meeting program organized at Agastyamuni in Rudraprayag district. Said, no one will be able to misuse Kedarnath Dham now. We have taken the decision unanimously by bringing the proposal in the Cabinet. Recently, those building temples in Delhi have been clearly told not to use the name of Kedarnath temple at all, but to build the temple by some other name.
