The Chardham yatra is going on its full swing now. On thursday more than 12000 pilgrims has visited Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines. It is being foreseen that this year all records of pilgrims visiting Chardham will be broken at this pace of inflow of pilgrims.

More than 26000 pilgrims visited Chardham everyday. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri recieve 5330, 7640, 4738 and 7174 pilgrims respectively on thursday. Over 1.5 lakh pilgrims has been visited Gangotri and Yamunotri dham till now after opening of these shrines. Priests and shop owners on Chardham route are happy to see the huge pilgrims turnout this year. Much more pilgrims flow will be estimated after closing of schools on summer break.
