Chardham Yatra is the most auspicious yatra in Hindu religion. Char Dhams are located in high hills of Uttarakhand visited by lakhs of devotees. Since all the Char Dham are situated between the hills of Uttarakhand, the roads very much effected during the monsoon. All Chardham receives mid to heavy rainfall from June end to mid August. During this time the road becomes vulnerable for travelling and landslides occur at many places too. Traffic disruption due to road block is a major problem for Char Dham Yatra in monsoon months.

Char Dham Weather Update: Due to heavy rain in monsoon months (July-Sept), Chardham roads get blocked frequently due to landslides. Till now in 2024, administration is actively making smooth traffic on road by clearing landslides with the help of JCB machines.
Chardham Tip for Now: The devotees should take all necessary precautions while visiting Char Dham in monsoon. Light to heavy rains might be experienced on Char Dham Route.
