BSNL is setting up a new 15 meter tower for 3G connectivity at an height of 11500 feet in Kedarnath Dham. All the need equipment for setting up of tower is being transported to Kedarnath Dham. Only BSNL service is available in Kedarpuri. In the coming days, the height of this tower will be increased to 40 meters, which will enable 4G services in future also. Besides, connectivity will also be maintained in bad weather, for this, other important tools will be installed in the old and new towers.
Apart from this, full BTS is also being set up in Lincholi on Gaurikund-Kedarnath pedestrian route. With this facility, mobile connectivity will be maintained even on full Kedarnath walking route. Reliance company has also agreed to start mobile service in Kedarnath. BSNL’s GM Vijaypal said that before the start of the Chardham Yatra, 3G mobile service will be started in Kedarnath. DM Mangesh Ghildiyal said that during the yatra this year, better communication service will be available to devotees on Kedarnath and pedestrian routes.
