Opening Date of Badrinath Temple will be decided on 26 January
A program was scheduled to take the Gaadu Ghada Kalash for the sesame oil used in the grand coronation of Badri Vishal from Yogadhyan temple Pandukeshwar to Narendranagar Tehri Raj Darbar.
While giving information, Chairman of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Ajendra Ajay said that before the opening of the doors of Badrinath temple, according to tradition, Gaadu Ghada reached Gaadu Ghada from Narsingh Temple to Yoga Badri Temple, Pandukeshwar. Gadu Ghada will be worshiped in the temple of Lord Uddhav Kuber at Yogbadari temple Pandukeshwar on Tuesday. It is an age-old tradition that when the Gaadu Ghada reaches the royal court of Tehri King on the festival of Vasant Panchami, then the date for opening the doors of Badrinath Dham is fixed.

Gaadu-Ghada Kalash will reach Royal court of Tehri on Basant Panchami
On 26 January, on the occasion of Basant Panchami the Gaadu Ghada Kalash will reach the royal court of Tehri at Narendranagar (Tehri). Where, according to mythological traditions, the date of opening of the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham and the extract of sesame oil used in the Mahabhisheka of God will be announced in the presence of the Tehri King and the Queen.
