As per latest info, Govt is working on a Master Plan for the development of Badrinath Dham as they do with Kedarnath Dham. It would cost around 481 crores for the upliftment of Badrinath dham and would be completed by 2025. It would be developed as Mini Smart City.
For the upcoming Chardham Yatra, the government has shown a rapid pace in the Badrinath Dham master plan to bring the passenger facilities to the ground. Soon the first phase works will be started. Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar undertook on-site inspection of Badrinath Dham for development works to be done under the master plan.
The tourism secretary said that development works will be done under the master plan to give Badrinath Dham a divine and grand appearance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a resolve to develop Badrinath Dham on the lines of Kedarnath.
The number of devotees reaching Badrinath is increasing every year. Other facilities will be developed along with easy access to Badrinath temple. Development works will be done to enhance the economy of the local people. The devotees can easily reach from the main temple to Tapt Kund and all other religious places around Badrinath.
He said that river front development will be done on both sides of the river at Badrinath. Surveys are being conducted with experts regarding protective and convenient construction works. Soon, the proposed works will be started under the first phase. During the inspection, the tourism secretary gave necessary guidelines after inspecting Tapt Kund, Brahma Kapal, Narada Kund, Sugriva Shila, Alaknanda river banks in Badrinath, Saket Tiraha, Mana Chawraha and various places around with experts.
Under the Master Plan of Badrinath Dham, the first phase will include construction of the remaining eye, beautification of Badrish Lake, river front development, one way loop road construction, hospital expansion, multi-purpose and visitor building. In the second phase, the development of the area around the Badrinath main temple, in the third phase, the work of connecting the temple to the lake is to be done.
Char Dham tour packages typically begin from popular starting points such as Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun. Pilgrims need to reach one of these locations to start their sacred Char Dham Yatra. If you are traveling from another state in India, you must arrange your journey to the starting point on your own.
