The 12 Bedded Hospital inaugurated by Governor Baby Rani Maurya
The Governor and Chief Minister reached Kedarnath by helicopter. At the inauguration ceremony held at the base camp here, the Governor said that the opening of Swami Vivekananda Charitable Hospital will benefit thousands of needy commuters during the yatra. In the Chardham Yatra, due to high altitude and changing weather, devotees coming from India and abroad have to face many health-related problems. Now with the opening of the hospital in Kedarnath, they will be able to get immediate medical care.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Swami Vivekananda Dhamarth Hospital has opened in Kedarnath. Now needy pilgrims and others will get treatment immediately. He lauded the dedication and service of the doctors who are serving in places like Kedarnath. The Chief Minister also took a terrestrial review of the reconstruction works going on in Kedarnath Dham. District Magistrate Mangesh Ghildiyal, SP Ajay Singh, Dr. Krishna Gopal of RSS, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Dr. Abhinav Aswal, etc. were present.
Facilities available in the Hospital
The hospital at Kedarnath will be operated by Swami Vivekananda Health Mission Society, Dehradun. This 12-bed hospital has a staff of 25 employees, including doctors and paramedical staff. During the journey, pilgrims will get X-rays, ventilators, intensive care units (ICUs) and other facilities. Also, there is separate female, male and ICU wards here. Regular deployment of two doctors will continue in the hospital.
