Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project is set to be completed by 2024. There are 18 tunnels to be built on this project, which will be about 205 km long. This is the reason that the Forest Department has transferred the land under the project area to 173.0313 hectares and 327.5683 hectares of land underground. Tender is to be invited soon for the 18 tunnels to be built in nine packages. Earlier, the Rail Vikas Nigam has an endeavor to make Approach and Edit Road reach the tunnel. The tender process for them is almost complete. Some companies have started work on approaches and edit roads. Not only this, the work of giving power supply to tunnels before the tunnel construction has also been started. In order to complete the tender process, companies should not face any difficulties in the construction. Rail Vikas Nigam claims that by 2024, the project will be completed and in 2025, the train will be starting running in Uttarakhand.
