Utsav Doli of Lord Kedar reached Omkareshwar Temple for the winter season
With the sound of Local Musical instruments, 10-Jecqelai band tunes and hoisting of devotees at 11:45 am, the Utsav Doli of Lord Kedar reached the winter abode site Omkareshwar temple. Here devotees made a grand welcome of Utsav Doli with flowers. After the three orbits (परिक्रमा)of the temple, priest Bagesh Linga performed the worship of Baba Kedar’s Doli. Raval Bhima Shankar Ling brought down the idols of Lord Kedar from the Utsav Doli. Acharya Vishwa Mohan Jamloki, Yashodhara Maithani, Mritunjay Hirema, h and Swayambar Semwal, and the priest of Kedarnath Temple, T. Gangadhar, substituted these idols inside the temple after all the rituals. During this time all other religious formalities were done by all the priests of the temple.
Devotees welcome the Utsav Doli of Lord Kedar at Omkareshwar Temple
The Udak Jal & Bhishma Prasad brought from kedarnath temple was distributed by Raval to all the Shiva Devotees. Earlier, at 8 o’clock Utsav Doli of Baba Kedar’s left the Kashi Vishwanath temple. While leaving the temple, Doli reached Jawahari at 9 o’clock, where the villagers welcomed the Utsav Doli. After a short break, Baba’s doli departed for his winter abode and reached Devdarshni at 10 am. Here hundreds of Shiva devotees welcomed the Doli with Flowers. After all the religious traditions, the Utsav Doli of Lord Kedar reached its winter abode Omkareshwar Temple.
Police Force will be deployed in Kedarnath even in winter
Police force will also be deployed in the Kedarnath Temple even in winter for safety purposes. Since the closure of the vault, 12 personnel, including the Police in charge, are on the spot. On 9th November, the doors will be closed, since there are people from PWD, Irrigation Department and the workers of NIM and some other officials are still working In Kedar Dham. The police force is also deployed. Police Superintendent PN Meena said that in Kedarnath, police will be deployed for 15-15 days in a phased manner. Now 12 people, including inspector Bipin Chandra Pathak, are present. Since the disaster of June 2013, due to security arrangements in Kedarnath as well as from time to time VIP visits, the police are also giving its duty in winter.
