Chardham Yatra is the most auspicious yatra in Hindu religion. Char Dhams are located in high hills of Uttarakhand visited by lakhs of devotees. Each year pilgrims visited the holy shrines of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri to take blessings. All the shrines of Chardham are open for pilgrims from April-May to October-November.

Since all the Char Dham are situated between the hills of Uttarakhand, the roads very much effected during the monsoon. All Chardham receives mid to heavy rainfall from June end to mid August. During this time the road becomes vulnerable for travelling and landslides occur at many places too. Traffic disruption due to road block is a major problem for Char Dham Yatra in monsoon months.

As per latest update, Chardham Yatra is running smoothly with few landslides. Drive safely.
Chardham Road Project is going on and many times due to roadblock by working company, pilgrims might diverted to alternative routes. Chardham pilgrims could take alternative routes for Kedarnath & Badrinath.
Alternative Route 1 : Delhi – Kotdwar – Pauri – Srinagar
Alternative Route 2 : Delhi – Rishikesh – Gaja – Devprayag
