Mata Murti temple is located at three kilometers away from Badrinath. Mata Murty is the mother of Lord Badri Vishal ji. There will be a huge fair takes place once a year at Mata Muti temple on this occasion. Mata Murty Festival is a religious event in which Nar-Narayan goes to meet his mother Murty. In this religious festival devotees come from around the globe. After this religious event, the chief priest can cross the Alaknanda river and reach the temple.
On this occasion, the temple of Badrinath ji will be closed from 09:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Lord Badrinath ji enjoys the bhog in the lap of Mother.
Dr. Harish Gaur, the Media Incharge of the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee said that three days Nandashtami program is going to start in Bamni village of Badrinath from September 17. The Chief Executive Officer of the temple committee, B D Singh, Raval Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri, Dharmadhikari Bhuvan Chandra Uniyal, priest of Mata Murti temple Hanuman Prasad Dimri are special collaborators for the big event. A large number of pilgrims are also included along with devotees of Maana and Bamani villages in this festival.
