Uttarakhand police is making every effort to make Kedarnath yatra easy for pilgrims. As the pilgrims stats keep on rising in Kedarnath, the police has started to setup tents colony in Kedarnath. After the directions given by CM Rawat, first lot of 400 tents has been sent to Kedarnath.

After the 2013 flood, all pilgrims have to use NIM tents to stay at night in Kedarnath. These tents is also being used by Police, SDRF and other department officials. Pilgrims has to stay in huts and tents provided by GMVN and NIM. Now these accommodations are being increased by police department.
