Over 26000 Registrations for Chardham Yatra 2016

Record number of pilgrims has done registrations this year’s Chardham Yatra. Till now 26,235 pilgrims has done registrations for Chardham Yatra. These stats are far more than last year. On tuesday only, total 8371 pilgrims has register for sacred yatra.

After the 2013 flood, the chardham yatra had seen very low number of pilgrims. For the previous years at the time of opening of shrine, only 614 and 1500 pilgrims had registered in 2014 and 2015 respectively. This year huge pilgrims turnout is being seen. Large number of pilgrims are coming from Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, UP, Bihar, Assam, Keral etc. On tuesday, 97 buses take off to Chardham yatra with 3052 pilgrims.
