The medical facilities during Chardham yatra is to be well maintained. There will deputation of 49 ambulances on the Chardham route. The 108 Emergency Ambulances will take care of any medical problems facing by pilgrims apart from road accident, breathing related problems, bloodpressure etc.

The 108 emegency service was started in 2008 and now have 41 ambulances. For chardham yatra 8 new ambulances to be included for pilgrims medical facilities. These extra ambulance will provide their services at Badrinath, Pandukeshwar, Vasukedar, Phata, Sonprayag, Harsil, Ranichatti and Kandikhal.
