The Uttarakhand Police has made a proper plan for security and traffic for the Chardham yatra going to begin next month.
Danger zones in major destinations and on-route has been identified by Police and additional force will be deployed at crowded areas.
State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel will take care of landslide prone areas. There will be more than five dozen temporary police posts will be constructed for smooth running of Chardham yatra. These posts will also include professional divers equipped with latest gears along Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river.
There will be 78 police stations and 138 reporting police posts to be constructed in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Tehri and Pauri districts. Strict actions against undutiful policemen will be taken if found guilty. Over 200 SDRF personnel and 24 cranes will be deploy on Chardham yatra route to carry out any operation in case of disaster.
