The UTDC Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board is going to take photometric registration to next leve with Trilok Security System providing free registration of Chardham pilgrims.
In 2015, there were 11 centres were set up for the photometric registration of pilgrims. Now three more centres are being setup to fecilitate huge rush of pilgrims for registration.
The last year 11 centres are at Haridwar railway station, Rishikesh roadways bus-stand, Hemkund Gurudwara in Rishikesh, Jankichatti, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Phata, Sonprayag, Kedarnath, Pandukeshwar and Govindghat. Now three more new centres will be at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya parking facility in Haridwar, Heena and Dobata in Uttarkashi.
With the increase in number of centres from 11 to 14, there has also been increase in number of counters from 35 to 50. The online registration for Chardham yatra will be same for this year at the rate of INR 50/- per person.
