Nature may have been harsh on the pilgrims but it couldnt not suceed in shaking the determination of the pilgrims. This is the reason why more than 700 devotees are eagerly waiting at Sonprayag to receive blessings from Kedar Baba. The authorities have temporarily suspended the Kedarnath yatra as a motorable bridge on Mandakini river has been washed away and an another pedestrian bridge have also been damaged. Due to this incident the pressure on helicopter services has increased. The manager of Pinnacle Airways Mr. Manpreet says due to suspension of pedestrian pilgrimage the number of bookings have increased. Booking of helicopter service have been extended till 02 nd, July.
By looking at the present scenario the company has increased the number of helicopters from 02 to 04 which will operate the Kedarnath yatra. A 41 years old social worker Manan Chaturvedi of Jaipur (Rajasthan) says – I have been waiting from 27 June for Guptkashi route to open but it does not seems like, so I had to take the flight. Many of the devotees who were not able to get the tickets had to terminate their yatra and leave without receiving blessings.
FM Radio to broadcast news about Char Dham Yatra :
FM Radio will telecast latest information regarding the climatic condition and roads, for the devotees who want to proceed their Char Dham Yatra. For this the District Administration has offered 4.28 lakh rupees to the administration for approval.
In one week more than 1000 Bio-Matic registration were done :
Despite heavy rainfall more than 2000 devotees registered their names at Bio-Matic Registration Centre on 22 – 29 June at Gupkashi and Sonprayag. More then 800 devotees are exhilarated for the pedestrian routes to open so they can commence the Kedarnath yatra. Rudryaprayags District Tourism Officer Seema Nautiyal tells – A large number of devotees are going for Bio-Matic registration and the number of pilgrims commencing Char Dham yatra is more than estimated.
