Today the doors of Lord Rudranath have been opened for the devotees. It is believed that the face of Shiva can be seen in the only fourth Kedar Rudranath Dham in India. It is believed in the scriptures that Shiva had given darshan of his face to the Pandavas going on the ascension journey at Rudranath. The journey to Rudranath is considered inaccessible.
The portals of the fourth Kedar Rudranath temple located in the Himalayan region were opened on Saturday in Brahmamuhurt according to religious tradition. During this, about 500 devotees reached the temple to witness the opening of the doors. Now devotees will be able to see the face of Lord Shiva for six months. The Rudranath temple is decorated with marigold flowers.
Rudranath Temple is situated at an altitude of 11808 meters above sea level. In the morning, under the leadership of priest Janardan Prasad Tiwari, devotees took bath in Narad Kund and brought water for Jalabhishek of Lord Rudranath. At 6.10 am, the priest opened the doors of the Rudranath temple with Vedic chants. With the opening of the doors, after the consecration of Bholenath, the Bugyali was adorned with flowers.
