In the whole CharDham Yatra season, 5000 meters of White cloth and 30,000 dresses have been used to decorate Lord Badrinath idol and other idols in Badrinath Dham. All these clothes and dresses are being donated by Delhi & Jaipur business families since many years.
In Badrinath Temple, an 1 meter idol of Lord Badrinath is situated made of shaligram. Other than that, there are other idols of Lord Narad, Garud, Kuber, Udhav, Nar and Ghantakarn in the Badrinath temple. During the Yatra season, all idols are being decorated. White cloth is being used inside and colorful dress used to decorate from outside. Since many years Delhi’s cloth businessmen Vijay Kanaudiya donates 5000 meteres of white cloth to Badrinath Dham and dresses are being donated by businessmens of Jaipur.
The changed cloths of Lord Badrinath are being distributed to the pilgrims who takes Mahabhishek puja. Pilgrims also received sandalwood wrapped in white cloth.
