On Thursday, a meeting was held in the secretariat under the chairmanship of Transport Secretary Arvind Singh Hyanki regarding Chardham Yatra preparations. Officials of Tourism Department and NIC also participated in the meeting. An important decision was taken in the meeting regarding the registration of Char Dham Yatris. It was decided that this time instead of offline, the tourism department will register only online through its website. Advance registration will be done according to the capacity of the pilgrims in Char Dham.
Additional teams will be deployed at Haridwar and Rishikesh to assist any passenger who is not able to register earlier. So that the pilgrims coming from far away states can reach the Char Dham easily. Passengers who have registered will also be screened, for which teams will be deployed at Badkot, Guptkashi and Sonprayag. It will look after the registration of passengers in all types of vehicles. If the passenger is not registered then he can be stopped.
Trip Card facility on Tourism website
It has also been decided in the meeting that a link to the trip card of the Transport Department will also be given on the website of the Tourism Department. As soon as the passenger registers here, his trip card will also be generated from here. Trip card can be taken out online. It has been decided that the registration of passengers can also be traced from the trip card of the vehicles. Till now the trip card was made by putting the registration number of the tourism department on the website of the transport, but now it can be made directly on the website of tourism.
Chardham Yatra App will be ready for trial in a week
In the meeting, Transport Secretary Arvind Singh Hayanki took information from NIC officials about the mobile app for Chardham Yatra registration. He told that the app will be ready within a week. After this there will be security audit and other trials of the app. This app will be available for download on Google Play Store and Apple Store from the first week of April.
