The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on May 6. On the first day itself, more than 20 thousand pilgrims had reached for the darshan of Baba Kedar. Devotees had to face great chaos for the darshan. The Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee had restricted entry into the Garbhgriha to control the crowd and the time taken for darshan. Due to the normalization of the number of Pilgrims in the Chardham Yatra, the ban on entry of pilgrims in the Garbhagriha of the Kedarnath temple has been abolished from Friday. Now devotees are going to the Garbhagriha of the Kedarnath temple to have darshan of Baba Kedar.
Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Ajendra Ajay told that the entry into the Garbhagriha was banned due to the arrival of a record number of devotees in the months of May and June this year. Devotees were having darshan of Baba Kedar from the sabha mandal. Now after the decrease in the number of devotees, devotees can enter the Garbhagriha of the Kedarnath temple for darshan and puja.
Kedarnath & Badrinath Temple changes Darshan timings
In view of the decrease in the number of devotees, the timing of darshan in the Kedarnath temple has also been changed. From Friday, instead of 4 o’clock in the morning, Dharma darshan is starting from 5 o’clock in the morning in Kedarnath temple. From 3 pm to 4:45 pm, the doors are being closed for bhog-puja and cleanliness. After the Shringar Puja in the evening, the doors will be closed again at 9 pm in the night.
Similarly, the Abhishek Puja of Lord Badri Vishal is being completed in the temple in Badrinath Dham from 5 am. Even during this time, pilgrims are doing dharma darshan. After various pujas in the evening, the doors will close at 9 pm in the night.
