Yogiraj Shilpi was contracted by the Prime Minister’s Office to prepare the statue. 120 tonnes of stone was purchased for the statue, which was carved and made a 35 ton statue. The work of making the statue started from September 2020.
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said that reconstruction work is being done in Prime Minister’s dream project of Kedarnath Dham. The installation of the statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya in the Kedarnath Dham will boost tourism. Along with this, a new tourist attraction will be ready for the pilgrims.
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that Hindu philosopher and religious leader Adiguru Shankaracharya has made a special contribution in the development and preservation of Indian culture. In the life span of just 32 years, he had given the power to Sanatan Dharma. Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar told that the 12 feet high statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya will reach the transit on June 25 from a big army helicopter.
